Thomas J. Campanella is an associate professor of urban planning at Cornell University. He is a recipient of Guggenheim and Fulbright fellowships, and has held teaching and visiting appointments at MIT, the Harvard Graduate School of Design, Columbia University and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Below, frank animates an excerpt from Campanella's essay, "Jane Jacobs and The Death and Life of American Planning", narrated by Thomas Campanella himself.
